After massive demand on social media, amid countrywide lockdown, national broadcaster Doordarshan is bringing back the iconic mythological TV series from the 80s — Ramayana and Mahabharat.

Ramayana 2020: Re-telecast timings
DD National will re-air 2 episodes of Ramayana everyday from March 28, Saturday, one from 9:00-10:00 AM, another from 9:00-10:00 PM.
The Ramanand Sagar-directed classic series was originally broadcast in 1988.

Mahabharat 2020: Re-telecast timings
DD Bharati will re-telecast 2 episodes of the Mahabharat, starting March 28, 2020; one at 12 PM, and other at 7 PM every day.
B.R. Chopra’s Mahabharat was originally telecast from 1988 to 1990.

The channel is also considering re-runs of other popular shows from the time.
Some of these include Malgudi Days, Fauji and Circus featuring Shah Rukh Khan, Byomkesh Bakshi, Buniyaad, Mashaal.
